As part of the implementation of the National Quality Policy action plan financed by the African Development Bank (AFDB) through the Institutional Support Programmer for Resource Mobilization and Investment Attractiveness (PAIMRAI AFDB), the Senegalese Association for Standardization (ASN) is organizing from 28 to 30 June a second training session on the standard "ISO 17025: 2017 - General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories"; for a capacity building of the national laboratories staff.

Today, the ASN is engaged in product certification with several programed being funded.

The development of product and service certification activities, which are evolving very rapidly, requires the strengthening of laboratories.

This training is part of the reinforcement of the laboratories' competences according to the ISO 17025: 2017 standard.

Objectives of the training:

The aim is to train laboratories on the requirements of the ISO 17052 version 2017 standard by making them understand the fundamental elements of a laboratory management system;  to know the requirements of the standard acquire the concepts, approaches, methods and techniques to implement a laboratory management system.
