From 25 to 26 August 2022, ASN held a mission to popularize ISO standards in the field of on-site sanitation in Togo. This workshop is part of the project "Adoption and implementation of standards on autonomous sanitation in Senegal and in the countries of sub-Saharan Africa." This capacity building workshop was organized in collaboration with the High Authority for Environmental Quality (HAUQE) of Togo. The general objective of this training was to follow up on the recommendations already proposed following the awareness-raising workshop on ISO standards in the field of on-site sanitation held in December 2019, but also to strengthen the capacities of the technical departments which are in the sanitation sector as well as consumer associations and civil society, on the use of standards in support of public policies and regulations. It also made it possible to recall the requirements of the ISO 30500, ISO 24521 and ISO 31800 standards on autonomous sanitation systems, raise awareness on the use of standards in support of public policies, regulations, promote the implementation of plans of action for the implementation of standards and the improvement of sanitation. HAUQE and ASN also discussed partnership for the promotion of standardization and related activities. At the end of this workshop, the participants made recommendations, namely:

- Integrate standards and good practices into basic training;

- Set up accredited laboratories for compliance control;

- Set up a participative approach in the management of questions
